NJPA Honors Students
The 2017 NJPA Student Recognition Banquet will be held April 12th, 2017 in the Brainerd/Baxter Area. The banquet recognizes students - often described as quiet leaders - who might not otherwise receive any recognition for the hard work and dedication they show their community, school and fellow students.
Daniel is the student every teacher wants to have in their class. He attacks life with humor and a hard working diligence that is not often seen. School has not always been easy for Daniel, but he came to the realization that if he works hard and asks for help, success is possible. Daniel has participated in Work Based Learning holding a job in the City of Long-Prairie during the summer. After his first year, they contacted the coordinating teacher to ensure he would be coming back. They emphasized the point that Daniel is a self-starter who takes direction and runs with it. Daniel not only has an amazing work ethic, but he is always ready with a joke and a smile. Congratulations, Daniel; your hard work and perseverance has paid off!
When thinking of Kimberly Pachan, three things come to mind: kindness, determination, and work ethic. Kim is the model of determination—in school, in sports, at work, and in her volunteer efforts. She pushes herself beyond what anyone could expect of her, and she does this willingly! It is not unusual to see Kim in the hallways helping other students with their work, attending school events, helping with various class projects, and participating in activities that build up others while she strives to be the best person she can be. She is supportive and encouraging of others and will do all she can to push others to success. In all of these things, Kim is loyal to those who do what is good and right. She will sacrifice her time when it means being there for others. What is most admirable is that Kim does all of this without expectation of recognition or repayment. In her own quiet way, Kimberly Pachan is making a difference around the LPGE community.
