DISTRICT INFORMATION
Mission
The mission of the Long Prairie-Grey Eagle School District, as an
innovative progressive leader in education, is to ensure that every
student is a confident, responsible global citizen with a passion for
learning. This will be accomplished through: state of the art
facilities, dynamic positive relationships and a rigorous engaging
curriculum, in partnership with parents and the community.
About the District
Long Prairie-Grey Eagle School District #2753 is a pre-school through
grade 12 district of about 1000 serving the students of Long Prairie and
Grey Eagle, Minnesota; as well as the surrounding area. The district is
located in the lake country of central Minnesota, 150 miles northwest
of the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area.
The District has a K-6 and 7-12 configuration in two buildings located
in Long Prairie. Elementary students are served at the Long Prairie-Grey
Eagle Elementary, which is a preschool-6th grade school. The building
also has a collaborative setting with Headstart.
Long Prairie-Grey Eagle High School, offers students in grades 7-12 a
wide variety of co-curricular, academic, arts, music and athletic
programs designed to challenge the interests and abilities of all
students. Community Education programs serve people of all ages from
infants through senior citizens. Programs are designed to link the
community and the school to enhance personal growth and community
development. |
